Featured Coffee: 1000 Faces Ethiopia Adorsi

Adorsi is a washed process coffee from Ethiopia. The 1000 Faces tasting notes are: peach, melon, floral, vibrant. We chose to brew this coffee on the Kone, with a 1:15 ratio of coffee to water.

Our recipe:

29g coffee — medium grind
435g water — just off boil

30 second bloom (60g)
Finished pouring at 2:20
Finished draining at 3:20

Tasting notes:

Pleasing dry aroma of lavender and orange zest. Initial sips tasted like hard candy: think watermelon, strawberry, and peach — along with notes of fresh cream. Medium-light body with the flavors and mouthfeel of plum juice. The florality of the coffee increased as it cooled. Lingering notes of honeysuckle.

Our take:

A floral, fruity, and sweet washed coffee from Ethiopia, with distinct notes of fresh cream.
