Featured Coffee: Black & White Roasters Colombia Gesha
This gesha variety is a natural process coffee from Colombia, produced by the experts at La Palma y El Tucan, and roasted by Black & White Roasters. Their tasting notes are white flowers, grape candy, and fruit cocktail. We chose to brew this coffee on the Kone with a 1:15 ratio of coffee to water.
Our recipe:
20g coffee — medium grind
300g water — just off boil
30 second bloom (50g)
Finished pouring at 2:10
Finished draining at 2:35
Tasting notes:
An incredibly clean, nuanced, and delicious Colombian coffee from the processing experts at La Palma y El Tucan. The cup greets us with flavors of white grape and orange blossom, which are complimented by a delicate floral aroma. As the coffee cools, bolder fruit flavors develop; we tasted fruit punch, pineapple, passionfruit, and even cotton candy. An exceptional coffee.
Our take:
A complex, multi-layered, sweet and fruity coffee from Black & White Roasters. Perfect for the coffee enthusiast in your life.
